Hi John,
Your best bet is adjusting templates. You will often see the link get’s called in an anchor. Target the anchor “_blank”.

Sorry, but it just do not work. I´m using the template “simple” for all my posts when adding files. I have edited the template just as you say, but still it opens the file in the same window. Also, I want the files in the archive to open in new window, but they don´t. Any idea what could be the problem?

Hi. I have recently purchased this plugin and would like to mention, it is brilliant. Could do with an admin redesign though. Setting up is a nightmare with that design. You should look into redesigning it for better user experience.
I cannot upload files in batches. When the files are first uploading, it grabs the names of the files, then after they’re all uploaded, it changes the name of the file to “undefined” and doesn’t show up anywhere.

Hi, what kind of rewrite rules is WP-Filebase using for the fancy permalinks? I’m on a NGINX server, so the permalinks don’t work. If you can tell me the rewrite rules you are using, my hosting provider can create NGINX rules from them to make the permalinks work. Thanks!
Hi Mikko, download permalinks have the following pattern: http://example.com/download/cat1/subcat/file.pdf
the “download” part in the path can be changed in Settings / Download / Download URL base
Love the program and am using it for company file tree. I need to input an adobe Thumbnail each time … can I change this so it comes up as the default file icon?

WP-Filebase Pro automatically generates thumbnails of PDF files. Make sure that Ghostscript is installed on the server, if you are not sure ask your hosting provider.

I have a problem with language files,
i have a wpfb-sv_SE.mo (and a .po file also)
The most in this file is translated, but not the line 1956 (Access to category denied!)
Whatever i write in poedit and create the .mo file, the wp-filebase still shows the Access to category denied!-text instead of the Swedish translated text.
The other lines functions as normal and are translated (haven’t done 100% yet, but around 65%..)
Am i stupid or is it something else? 🙂

I would need two things: First, how can I customize the notification Mail to the user if a new file is available to download?
Second, on the file browser page, is it possible to set a text I can display if there are no files available for this user? For example:”There are no files for you to download”
I have used one shortcode on a page to display the files but they are displaying twice for some reason like this…
