I’ve installed the WP-Filebase plugin as instructed and the tree view only shows parent categories, no files or subcategories.

    Attempts to fix:

*Looked a code and errors, found nothing.
    *Disabled ALL other plugins, nothing.
    *Re-installed wordpress root files, nothing.
    *Re-installed plugin, nothing.

Nothing will fix this issue and I’d really like to use this plug-in because of the tree interface.

I have managed a temporary fix by slightly amending the name of the wp-filebase.php file, and inserting a backup copy of it. My site is now running again, but a permanent fix would be great.

    Thanks in anticipation!

    Hallo WP-filebase creator!
Thank You for the free version of this already great Plugin!

I am looking for adivce for a Search Result Template related “problem”.

I set the Search Result Template to “data table” but the result page (after using the wordpress search for “pdf” for example) displays no table but text only.

    See: http://nordsee.lfi.rwth-aachen.de/fghw/?s=pdf

The wp-filebase results are there but not in a table. This is really unreadable. How can i fix this ?

Curiously the data table is showed correctly on a seperate page http://nordsee.lfi.rwth-aachen.de/fghw/publikationen/hydrobrief-newsletter

    Thank You!
    Michael

Hi, great plugin – Thank You!
I would like to list my downloads by author, everything alphabetically:

Author First Name Author Last Name
    First File by this author
    Second File by this author…etc
Author First Name Author Last Name
    First File by this author
    Second File by this author…etc

I’d need to know the shortcode to do this, and if any other needed to setup. I see the Author field is a single field, so if we wanted to show author as Jane Doe, alphabetically she would be placed in “J” instead of “D” I was thinking of using custom field 1 to enter author as Doe, Jane and sort by that field? Or setup each author as a sub-category?

Let me know if this is considered a Premium request!

I was having some trouble with certain users not being able to see a streaming PDF. So I switched to the forced download and it seems to have fixed the problem.

But my question is, will Google be able to search my PDFs? I really need them to.

    Thanks,
    Tim

BTW, would have bought the Pro business license today if I could have paid by CC. I guess I’ll set up a business PayPal account to buy it, my PayPal is personal. Great plugin!!!

    Dear all,
I have 40 mp3 files (20 min podcasts) in my filebase. Each one has around 22 MB.
Actually I would like to stream them, when you click at one and it works until the third minute or so. Then it stops. So I switched to the “force download” option to deliver the files properly. This works on PC systems, but not on mobile devices that can’t store files (like the iPhone). Mobiles Devices stream still play the files at once and then stop again after a couple of minutes.
Which settings do I need to enable the correct and complete streaming of the data? Could you please advice me?
    Thank you,
Michael from Bergisch Gladbach in Germany

    Hi there,
I’m trying to download files onto filebase but I’m getting an error saying Error -200: HTTP Error.
Also it goes to a 404 page when doing it the other upload way .
    Any idea what it means?

    Hi,

Is there any way to download a whole folder of files in one go rather than going into the folder and downloading them individually? I’m currently using the free version of this but if this feature is in the pro version i don’t mind paying for that.

    Thanks

      Hello Dave,

yes, the pro version allows users to download a ZIP file containing all files in a category.

      Regards
      Fabian
