How to use WP-Filebase’s custom post types

WP-Filebase keeps track of files in its own Database table. Besides, it reflects each file as a WordPress post object, with the custom post type “wpfb_filepage” structered with the custom taxonomy “wpfb_file_category”.

This offers an interface to other plugins, suchs as FacetWP or Advanced Custom Fields. Furthermore you can generate Navmenus linking to your files.

The custom post type is registered by WP-Filebase Pro, and should appear in any plugin, that supports custom post type. There are additional meta data available that allows you to filter and search files on certain properties and metadata, see the articelĀ about Filepages.
