Upgrade from 3.2.06 to 3.2.10 wipes out remote sync settings

Hi there.

I just tried to upgrade to 3.2.10 from 3.2.06. The new extensions look great but it wiped out all of our remote dropbox sync folder settings. Trying to install the dropbox extension failed with an “unknown error”.

I’ve reverted back to 3.2.06 for the moment and would like some feedback on how best to upgrade while retaining previous settings.

Try to disable all other plugins before installing the extension. Some plugins (like WP-Filebase Pro) implement their own upgrade API, and in some cases they are buggy. Note you can also download the extensions from http://wpfilebase.com/got-wp-filebase-pro/my-license/

Just a follow up to this in case anyone has the same issue.

Disabling other plugins didn’t work – any time I updated to a newer version of WP-Filebase Pro it would wipe out the Remote Sync settings.

The solution was to download, install and activate the new Dropbox WP-Filebase extension *before* upgrading to the new version.

With the dropbox extension in place first it worked perfectly.
