Open files in new window?

Is there a way to force files from File Browser view to open in a new window?

Here’s my challenge: We have several folders within folders. When someone digs through, finds the file they want, click it, then it loads in their browser window. But when they hit Back to go back to the File Browser view then all the folders have collapsed and they have to dig all over again to find where they were. That’s pretty time consuming.

I’m sure if I had all the folder set to be open by default that would help. But I have alot of files and folders so not sure that is best.

Maybe I’m overlooking an obvious solution. Any suggestions?

Try adding target=”_blank” to the link in the default file browser template. That will open the file in a new window or tab, leaving the original browser in its same state.
