Remote Sync
If you get an error during Dropbox sync like “cURL-Error (52): Empty reply from server”, disable open_basedir in PHP.ini.
One 2 default file download templates from my download page is showing up on my WP estore Purchase Page.
I don’t have the Filebase shortcode to make be there.. It’s bleeding over into another page where I don’t want it. How do I fix this
Hello Fabian,
I’m reconstructing an intranet page for our company that my predecessor build before me. Unfortunately for us he has done a very poor job with it and therefore i decided to start building from scratch.
Due to the fact we have a very large amount of documents (35K +) on this page, we are using WP-Filebase Pro but this gives me a huge problem…
We should have a license key, but don’t know which and even where my predecessor stored it. And therefore i can’t use the live sync or even the premium support on your website.
Is there a way to extract our license from the old installation and import it into the new?
It’s possible for me to send you proof in screenshots of the Pro version using a local IP just tell me where to send them.
Thanks if you decide to help me out!
Best regards,
Raymond
I am trying out your plugin before I get the pro version, but am running into an issue with listing the files attached to each category. I have uploaded 80 some files, all located in about 20 folders) then performed a file sync. This has worked and everything showed up within the module’s File Browser. However, the page that I have set up to show all these categories and files, only shows the categories and where the files should display, I am only seeing a spinning circle.
I did try setting the option “Late script loading” but that didn’t help.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
Hi
i had purchased the pro version for my site about a year ago. there was some reasons i decided not to publish the site . but now i am going to publish it and unfortunately i’ve forgotten my wp-filebase pro key
that’s not the main problem. because the pro version is still installed on the site and i can use it for now . the problem is i forgot the email i had signed up with and purchased the license key
you can understand my site’s domain from my email i’m using to write this comment to figure out which key is mine
what i want from you is to just give me the email i had used
thanks
Hi Fabi,
I have a password-protected page on my WordPress website.
On the page, I have links to .doc and .pdf files in WP-Filebase Pro.
The password protect works fine — I enter the password and the page comes up.
But, when I click on a link to download a file, I get this message
You are not allowed to access this file! (I’m the admin!)
Is there a setting I should change?
Thanks!
flash cash helps with lost of similar problems
also – recheck permissions in general settings : files may inherit permissions from categories
I had this problem when I first installed the plugin. I don’t remember exactly what I did but this is not the plugin bug. Keep looking at settings.
good luck
Maureen,
I replied to you but the text is in the separate post below…
Hello,
I am using WPFilebase PRO and extension for Dropbox sync.
The plugin works exactly as I need it
BUT
there is a random problem with authentication token on Dropbox files. Some of the files are not accessible for download. Error 401.
When i go to the plugin and reset permissions and re-sync with Dropbox it all works again … until next time..
Help please!

Strange issue. Recently the upload tool began failing if you upload to a sub-folder. (But not the main folder). It appears to be having trouble moving the original file to the new folder (I know this because WordPress is able to move its thumbnails to the sub-folder if its an image)…The “Batch” uploader does not seem affected by this issue at all. (So I’ve advised my customer to upload using the batch method for now). [I didn’t make any permission changes and I don’s see any changes]. They have several hundred files. Is there some sync necessary in the database that my have gotten off?
Fatal error: Class ‘getid3_lib’ not found in /var/www/vhosts/shoprendement.nl/subdomains/snv/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-filebase/classes/GetID3.php on line 42
This problem I get when trying to synchronise the files: what can i do???
I edited the file GetID3.PHP
(You can find into “wp-content/plugins/wp-filebase/classes/GetID3.php”)
And comment (putting /* …. */ ) this lines:
/*getid3_lib::CopyTagsToComments($info);
if(!empty($_GET[‘debug’])) {
wpfb_loadclass(‘Sync’);
WPFB_Sync::PrintDebugTrace(“file_analyzed_”.$file->GetLocalPathRel());
}
*/
I’m having the following appear. “Unable to insert item into DB! Unknown column ‘file_name_original’ in ‘field list'”
I updated to the newest version and that didn’t seem to help.
Disable the plugin and enable it again.
I did that without success. I also uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail.
Do you use the Pro/Free version?
I’m using the free version currently. When I reinstalled it I grabbed the newest version from your github site.
I have the same here. Disabling/enabling did not help…
