General about WP-Filebase
WP-Filebase’s file management
WP-Filebase uses a category/sub-category/file taxonomy. Each category can have multiple sub-categories (child categories) and files.
The file system is kept in sync with the category tree in the Database, e.g. each category has a folder containing the files and directories of all children (files and categories). This brings the advantage that you can easily add, modify or delete files directly on the file system, for example by FTP. WP-Filebase offers a function to synchronize the database with the file system, so file properties like size and hash sum get updated. (Never forget to sync after changing files with FTP!). See Sync.
I need to be able to put different listings by category on different pages but the plugin only allows for a single file listing. Is there a way to do this?

Hi i found a bug in the new version of wp-file base its in the
classes/item.php file on line no 590
if(!@rename($old_path, c))
now what is c, it should be $new_path.
because of this user is not able to change the file category bcoz they won’t move to
another folder.

thank you for finding a solution for the bug. I had the problem with files not moving from cat a to cat b after ediiting the file an reassigning a new category.

I haven’t gotten any answers to my premium support tickets yet. We bought the full multi-site license, but I can’t get any answers about mass-importing files with associated meta-information. We will be investigating other file management options.

I have to create a download center where the user is able to choose by dropdown-menus…
1) the catagory
2) the sub-catagory (only subcatagories with content should be mentioned in the dropdown-menu)
3) the language of the file (mentioned as taxanomy)
Is the wp-filebase plugin what I am looking for?

Hello after the Update there are so many issues on my Site. All Loading very long . Once man calls the File Browser Loading the system without end and shows a No categories . Error calling the files, etc. Nothing in Backend for regular Permissions etc.
