General about WP-Filebase
WP-Filebase’s file management
WP-Filebase uses a category/sub-category/file taxonomy. Each category can have multiple sub-categories (child categories) and files.
The file system is kept in sync with the category tree in the Database, e.g. each category has a folder containing the files and directories of all children (files and categories). This brings the advantage that you can easily add, modify or delete files directly on the file system, for example by FTP. WP-Filebase offers a function to synchronize the database with the file system, so file properties like size and hash sum get updated. (Never forget to sync after changing files with FTP!). See Sync.

you can sort the list by >file_hits to show the top downloaded.
Since voting works with 3rd party plugins, its up to the vote plugin to show a list of highest voted file pages.

what is the difference between Access Permission and Upload Permission when create a category

i’m looking for a tool allowing me to restrict the access of single pages’ file attachments. but this restriction must apply not to roles, but to specific groups, e.g.: i create a group (NOT a role – i’ve seen your plugin already does this) of user then in create a page, in which i upload my files to be seen only by my target group. the page is protected: you can see its content only if you’re logged in the system AND your user is part of the group. so – to prevent hotlinking, but in the same time allowing direct access to my specific group of users – i need the page’s attachements to be accessible only to this group. is this possible with your plugin?

I controlled using FTP and the file is online.

is pro version buddypress compatible?
The time delay between uploads is 60 seconds — in other words after uploading a file I must wait 60 seconds before uploading a second file (from the same browser/computer), then another 60 seconds before uploading a 3rd file…, etc. How can I change that time delay? Is this a PHP or MySQL config, or is this set in WPFileBase?

I have designed my own page template. I have used the template for more than 100 pages. I want to add different downloadable files in different pages. For example, File A is for Page X, File B is for Page Y and so on.
Is there any php code that I can put in my template which will allow to show the attached file in a particular page and in a particular position?
